Unless i was concerned with the grass i am not sure i would have used rigging just a tag line to ensure large pieces fell in the correct direction. At a push a front lowering point could be used swinging all branches round to the drop zone from over the poly tunnel.

You got the tree down, looks like a lot of extra work with your zig zag lowering system though!

hats off to you, I think all you need is a few days on a job with an experienced climber:thumbup1:

 

i contacted 16 tree service companies around here offering to work or volunteer for free. only 1 person responded. thats all id like to do train a few weeks with someone.

So how did you get this particular job?

 

Did you undercut any of the 16 tree companies around you to get it? If so then no wonder they dont give free training to anybody.
