I bought one today and the weight and balance seems pretty good but it seems to have a lag on the throttle, its not the chain that causes it as it turns freely, anybody else got one and had the same ?

No, but I know what you mean. Sounds like what the 201 does. Is it the same after a good warm up?

Not sure I just gave it gas for a few minutes up the yard this evening and noticed the lag straight off the bat.

No I have'nt touched it but im going to be using it tmr all day so will run it in and then have it re tuned.

I heard the 201 had a similar problem that could be cured by grinding down the plastic stops that came into contact with the sides of the chain.

I've heard that, but seems silly to have to grind the chain buffers! Some people I know have said it's a bit tight to start with but should loosen up and be responsive. I had mine retuned a couple of weeks ago and it's even more awesome now. The power is there when you want and expect it, the throttle control is second to none

i know exactly what you mean, had it with mine and a friend with his, mine is now improving with some use, will retune it soon and hope it picks up even more.

I've got high hopes for mine, my shoulder plays up after a day making small cuts at arms lenght, seems silly using a 200 when a saw of nearly half the weight is an option.
