Our big old wood has a very old run down fence along the top and no fence down one side which joins a field which has just been bought by a 'community'. Apart from dancing around in the nud and swimming in the river, they have been seen carting logs out of our wood.

We have a plan to introduce pigs into the wood for finishing so need a decent fence for this but we may also need to keep humans out. Or should we jst go for some razorbacks instead and let them all in?

Thought you couldn't use razor wire anymore? Could be wrong.

15,000 v wire does a good job

If pigs are going in then just fence for the pigs and put plenty of warning signs up. If anyone crosses it and get attacked by a sour then that's there problem.

good chestnut pailing on the boundry and then a 6foot stock fence with 2 rows of double strand barb set about afoot back, inside your boundry and nothing anyone can say

I would put up pig netting with maybe 3 strands of barb wire on top- gives extra height to make it awkward for them to get over, get a nice tight top strand of wire and staple close it as close to the top of the posts as possible so it isn't easy for them to use the post as a easy place to cross the fence

maybe some low wire entanglements either side of the fence makes it more fun when the fall over but costs a fortune in barbwire but endless fun watching them get out
