i dont think theres anything wrong with selling those logs, but only if the customer knows exactly what it is they are getting. selling such logs as seasoned must surely be against the trade descriptions act and therefore illegal.

 

i just sold a load of green wood tonight as it happens.....but told the customer exactly what it was and gave them the option of going elsewhere...they chose to take what i had. nothing wrong with that IMO

 

you wouldnt sell a load of fresh cut wiilow tho would you , i certernly wouldnt .strait in the chip pile

i sell fresh cut willow all the time. then I go away and laugh all the way to the bank. It is described as "freshly cut willow" though. It is also desrcibed as "shiiiite" burning.

fully agree with that, i'm also selling freshwood as fresh wood and explain to the customer first, also with the option of them looking elsewhere.

I sell logs but only when they are dry and seasoned. Otherwise you will lose the customer.

i sell it as "a softwood" emphasis on the "a"

 

burns alright when seasoned, maybe a little fast but gives off some good heat, can also dry quick.

nah you wont......you'll lose them if you lie about the product, you get more respect if you are upfont and honest with them.
