Hi everyone, bit of advice needed please, im after a new saw that will lend itself to both serious firewood production but also the ability to use on an alaskan medium sized mill. Any suggestions? Many thanks.

My stock answer would be ms660, but given that im suffering from the dreaded and all too common warped chain brake handle syndrome, im not too keen on it at the moment!!

 

HI MATE on the very large butts go 880 lots more power too and better for milling too so im told jon :thumbup:

Hi Jon, I have got an 088 - its a beast!!! your right they munch through the bigger stuff better than a 660. Just a bit big for general use i find.

Yes..a while back...it felt like opening the throttle on a motorbike....point it at the tree and it just draws itself through the wood like a hot knife through butter...
