Well, so far i have tried the Vermeer SC252, The Predator 38x and a Carlton 4012. The new little Bandit is still to come, hopefully over the next week or so.

Each one has had good and not so good aspects to each machine, i think if i could pick and mix a part or two off each there could be a great machine to be had!!!

I had though forgotten the camera for the last two machines but hopefully get a vid of the bandit working when it comes!

We had a demo of this machine today. We had made it a little tricky with a muddy slope and a very cold and hard Yew stump to remove.

I think for a little 27hp machine it did a good job. The autosweep system works very well reducing the head speed dependant on the pressure and resistance at the cutting wheel.

Overall not a bad machine and only weighs 470kg.

Thought i would share.

I personnely just just prefer my predator 28, for the hrs its used it makes me a lot of money, i keep the teeth sharp and don't abuse it. It gets in most places . But on another note, that was a great video, super camera angles and such a steady hand, have you consider'd the porn industry , film making, as an alternative income ?, could be very lucrative

Is that the system where that people put tape over the sensor, because every time u look at the front of the machine it cuts out. Like u say if your a skilled operator why would u want that.

No there are sensors in the handles you can let go for 2 seconds, believe it or not enough time to have a good look at the stump, then the wheel will stop within 9 seconds. No way to cheat it. Plenty of professionals get caught out, being over familiar with a machine can be as bad as not knowing what to do!

So, what would you guys upgrade too from a Bandit HB20 27hp...?

We mostly do domestic jobs but are looking at the bigger picture too.

I have wondered about the Bandit hydrostatic model (2250XP...?) but as its only 27hp would I be getting any benefit?

Thanks in advance for your advice

Ty
