I've got ms310. What would you suggest for giving it a service, as in what to buy new ect. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Air filter. Fuel filter, spark plug. And then the usuall bar dress, chain sharpen, clean it, check comp, give it a pressure test.

 

Run it in some wood to ensure its running ok. That's what I do anyway.

In addition to Riches list, check the sprocket/rim for wear and replace if required, check recoil rope and recoil action, lube needle bearing on the sprocket, make sure the chain isnt spinning on idle.

 

It is worth checking the gauze filter in the carb pumping section, crap does gather there over a year or twos use!

 

Check the condition of th echain catcher and chain brake - clean the mechanism and check for correct operation.

 

Give the whole thing a good clean out!

Check your fuel line and impulse line. Known for hair line cracks here in the fuel line that create air leaks.
