I've got one (yeti greenline se) and its ace. 50mpg average over the 1st 50k miles. comfy, well built, light on tyres.

The green line is rated for up to 1400kg braked, but the 2.0 diesel variants up to 2000kg, depending on which power output. So space for the van and plenty of cider!

I was going to originally write "Is that a 1200kg Caravan with a 600kg Wife on board?"

What about...a Dacia Duster...?

Really popular in Morocco and France.

Low first gear, high clearance and a 1.5dci motor for WAY less than a Nissan Quashkey...

I've had a skoda for a few years now and i'm getting another next time i buy one. It's never let me down, good to drive and great on fuel.
