i have been using these 'new' caps for about 6 years now.

i think you will find that all you have to do is pull on the tab before you close it. If the cap comes out you have not done it up correctly. if it does not come out you have done it up correctly. SIMPLES

i have had two fails when i first started out but using the above technique i have not had any problems since.

I never found a problem with the old style caps. I'm sure like many others, I keep a combi spanner in the fuel can, so it was always at hand to undo cap if needed. And as long as you're not unnecessarily brutal with it, your cap lasts.

 

HI MARC MATE on the ms660 there the old ones and i think i go too hard on them and they leak :001_rolleyes:on oil and petrol but it i think new ones are ok and the old ones to like you said out with combi spanner :thumbup1:thanks jon :thumbup:
