It was pretty windy where I was working today, up a big ash on top of a hill in Rawtenstall.

Taking a big top out into the wind, even though it was perfectly weighted in the direction of fell, the wind kept pushing it back onto my saw. Had to put a pull line in it in the end. Plus the wind blowing the sawdust into my face was like being sandblasted. Very irritating!

nothing worse than a windy facefull of sawdust!!

had to go up the yard this morning for a bit of a tidy, i think we had a mini tornado, because this was the only damage on the whole farm.:001_smile:

Stunning countryside SWB, how comes youre not into shooting ?

used to do a lot with my dad and brother when i was young, had my shotgun liscence when i was 16, i used to enjoy the walk more than the shooting, have been stalking with my brother a few times up north when i was 18. but i dont really like killing things to be honest mick, when we were boys we would aimlessly shoot any thing that moved just because we could. i am really enjoying taking pics now. it is pretty similar. you have to be quiet and tactical, those fungis can be spooked easily:001_tongue:
