Nuggsy, I haven't got kids so I got no idea what you're going through and feel for you mate. But at the end of the day, your little lad is always going to be your little lad and is going to need his dad. I appreciate that you've got a feeling that your partner might be special. In my opinion, and this is just the way I see it, your little lad is already. My suggstion would be to let your partner move to the new job and travel down to see her. See how things go, then make your descision after a weeks/months. It would be awful to move away and then the job not work out, etc,.

Hope that you don't take offence mate and hope everything gets sorted.:001_smile:

yeah ive been looking atthat option aswell tommy, likeyou say the job might not work out, shes back tommorow and ive not spoke to her abt this so i will get a talk with her about what she wants and what i want.

she tells me she doesnt want to leave me for work or anything so i had made a comprimise to go within 2 hours of my son but im thinking i may widen my parameters and when i get holidays go and spend quality time with ethan.

also i wanted to be close enough to be able to come up every few weeks at the weekend to see him
