An introduction to Arbtech Tree Services

Good morning all.

Yet another new member introducing themselves, long time lurker first time poster and all the usual :001_smile:

My names Steve and i've recently set up Arbtech Tree Services Ltd. (not the most imaginative name and many similar but the wife suggested calling it Twigs and i won!), in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. I'm not native but have been here for about 15 years. I've managed so far to get the starts of a website up and running - Arbtech Tree Services Ltd: Home - and this year has got off to a flying start with my trust Greenmech CS100 going pearshaped on me in the middle of a job.

I realise it's a saturated market and times are hard but it's the same in just about any game right now. You've just got to do whatever you can to put it on the table.

Like a lot of people i picked up my first saw in '87 and have been at it since, it's now time to do it all properly so have set up the company. I hold CS 30,31,38 and 39, trained for 40 but couldn't quite stretch to the cost of the assessment :blushing: This year i'm looking at doing the RFS Cert Arb course. I've 12 years experience of running another unrelated company and have had enough, i want to spend my working time doing something i enjoy and can gain job satisfaction from.

I've enjoyed reading many interesting and informative threads on here and would like to give something back in whatever way i can, business knowledge, mechanics etc.

That's all for now and i look forward to hopefully being a useful member.

Kind regards,

Steve.

Many thanks all for your welcome, i know it's something that as a long standing member of another (unrelated) forum i was always guilty of not bothering with:blushing:.

Although the computer's been on i've just come in from the workshop dismantling the drum on the chipper where i've found the problem (yes it's midnight and the bosses have it easy?).

Once again many thanks and kind regards,

Steve.
