Found these in the new forest this week whilst on holiday. Such a glorious colour and texture.

Cortinaria violaceous

Sorry they're on their side can't rotate them.

 

Third picture was a real stunner in the same spot last year.

I actually feel honoured to have been able to find them. I always enjoy finding new fungi but these really were the dogs danglers for me.
