I cannot have you london boys beating us country boys on fungi so here is your slime mould i found it today on an oak stump. The second one i found by its smell it stunk and it was huge but i have no idea what it is:001_smile:

I have to post this one, it is on a venerable ash, not big,not even handsome,but none the less.......

 

And some old on the ground.

Shall get some and post them,the tree has been knocked about a fair bit, its on the south of a fence line,took a lean in Oct 87, and got its crown 'adjusted' for sticking its nose over the fence! I have known this ash for a few years,and admire its fortitude.

Fair size for sure.

 

First time i've seen either the Podo or Merip on Red Oak.

 

More usual to find resinaceum which we seem to have in abundance.
