A couple of rubbish pictures taken from behind a fence with an aging mobile phone in Regent's Park earlier today:

4 of these 5 ash have hispidus brackets, the 5th has what is probably hispidus associated canker up top. The first, unusually, has a bracket at the extreme base; lower than I've seen it before...

on a break in norfolk with the kids for a week so kept the fung hunting on the back burner, but these caught the eye in passing.

 

P. squamosus on ash

I. hispidus on ash

Russula sp associating with birch/oak woodland

& M. giganteus on copper beech
