Missed them. In my defense I was getting it in the neck at that point for looking at fung and not playing with the kids!

What's the Laetiporus on?

didn't look like Laetiporus. had a texture somewhere between mousse and porridge. laeti on old pruning wound@3m mind.

I think it looks like a deformed Laccaria sp

 

Perhaps L. bicolor, proxima or laccata

Hmmm it's quite chunky and firm, the stems about the size of marker pen

Hi guys any help in identifying this fungi it appears to have killed this beech tree?! The tree itself appeared to have died very quickly leaving dead leaves attached.
