i have one of these saw had it since 2006 and it runs sweet at a nut and the starting it effortless and i have used it nearly every day and cut up some big lumps with it fell trees 20 inch across with it the 15inch bar suits the saw its light and im sure it will last you quite some time

maybe i have a friday saw mine is a pig it starts on choke start again off choke. starts dies feather the throttle it takes a age torun then it will run when it does not bad saw put it down ticking over pick it up and it dies.

giving up going for a husky 550xp,560xp.

Sounds like fuel problems, ask spud

its a very good saw i use it for pro use day in day out its light and is very good on fuel effot less to star the pull cord system is like a piece of elastic you just use a light pull and the pull cord come out then pull starter kicks in and fires up its quite grunty for the size of engine and as going to a home owner get it services befor the first years up and that gives you 5 years warrenty

Echo (kioritz) engines are slow to warm up for sure; this is actually a good thing; higher ferrous content in the cylinder means longer life.

Looking for the best price for the cs420es.

 

Seen the abbey garden sales price, any of the knowledgable arbtalk folk know of a better deal.

 

Looking for a good lightweight cheap general use home saw.

£297 I take it? Radmores £2 more so no point there; ron smith in worcester might be worth a look...

 

edit nope just checked them and F&A; abbey looks best price...
