leaving the trade

I've had to make the decision to walk away from something i love:sad:

years of playing rugby and doing mma has left my body in a complete mess my hands constantly hurt from the vibration from the saws and recurring trapped nerves in my neck and back from hanging in a harness which leave me lay up for 2-3 weeks at a time mean that as i'm the only earner for my family i'm going to have to drop back in to the building trade.

I'm absolutely devastated as i really enjoyed my time learning the trade but with the building i can get labourers to do the bulk of the mauling and as i've got at least 30years before i retire i've got to make the educated choice and walk away while my bodys still good for something else.

I'm going to be getting rid of the bulk of my climbing kit but keep a few bits back so i can still do the odd bit of rec climbing to keep fit so if there's any lads looking to get started i may be able to help you out.

Im sorry to hear that i can relate to this with my sports etc along side this job my body is ruined ive thought many a time about giving up, i think im going to end up doing a part time job and keeping my company ticking alongside it. Picking all the decent nice jobs, until such a time comes i can employ people and be a full time boss man driving about quoting and maintaining the gear

We've got a lot of brick and block work coming up but it's all working away, may or may not suit you.... I'll have a look at what, where and when and let you know.

Definitely interested in your srt kit. Shall we meet up? Not fishing at Wes's anytime soon are you?
