Doing your own lowering.

Your better to do a speed line yourself and take a bunch if slings and use a big prussik loop to attach to the tree and that way you can lengthen or shorten the rope yourself.

Tbh a lot of the time I used to use my side strop just to cut the limb and get it vertical and then in clip it and throw down.

This only usually happens when your not experienced enough to know better to wait and use a Groundie ,or to be able to read the tree before climbing it.

Or you're constantly doing stuff for free... I have a mate that usually helps out as a groundie, but sometimes I'm relying on an ancient bailiff, so I'm up there with a bow or silky, trimming what needs trimming.
