I have a Efco 156/Oleo 956 which is the current 50-something cc pro saw offering.

Pro: build is ace, saw is very much like a Husky 254xp. Great for firewood.

Anti: old school and heavier than equivalent modern saws.

I love it (project saw) but I don't use it professionally.

Also!

UK support is terrible compared to Stihl/Husq unless you're near a decent dealer. There is literally only one online source for spares, albeit quite a good one.

Also also!

Spares are rather more expensive than Stihl/Husq.

Efco is the same saws as oleo mac, both italian made I think.

Italian version of arbtalk has alot of discussion on efco/oleomac.

EMAK is the parent company; same saw; red or orange/grey. I don't dislike them :thumbup1:

156 is supposed to be a real runner...
