Had a bit of fun big tree hunting today down in Essex, organised by Albere. I'll let him put up the crowning glory, but had a nice chance encounter.

While getting ready to measure the tree we'd gone for, we started chatting to a lady, who was interested in what we were doing. I was expecting a telling off/go away rant, but instead we were invited to visit her house up the road, and take in an oak pollard she has on her driveway. Later in the day we did just that, amazing what a friendly "good morning" can get you :001_smile:

I'm afraid I haven't got no pics sorted of the lime me and Dan climbed today but we measured it to be 120ft and 3 inches, fair play to Dan sticking with it and getting a throw line in the tree' the base was covered in ivy making it a pain! The view of carver barracks radar was awsome!
