Dont look down

I get a bit unsettled when im climbing big poles eg. redwoods/gums and have no widespreading branches below me.Just got to have trust in your gear and knots and slowly progress and build up confidence with every climb.

Sounds stupid but I just put my MP3 player on and sing away to myself. Seems to work on those really ugly jobs. I still get nervy on some jobs even after 20+ years but I get so in to the music I often get to the end of the limb/top of the tree etc and wonder what I was worried about. Even better if you can go out on a few rec climbs where you're not under pressure to get the job done and you can take your time and chill out a little.

Aye if u can take someone up with u and at 20-30ft high stop and have a brew tab lunch a chat etc
