Ratting

An old pal of mine, sadly now in that big compartment in the sky, used to have use of a big shed on a farm overrun with them.

One day he saw a rat on a high shelf in the corner of his shed,as he was unarmed,he grabbed a handy length of 2 x 2 and as he was about to swing it the rat jumped into his face, and its claw somehow took his eye out.

Ive always been wary of a cornered rat since then.

Thats knarly

If I use the terriers is there any risk of them becoming ill from being bitten ?

Never had a problem, they nearly always get nipped buy the rats, just rinse the wound in salt water. I had one terrior that used to catch them but not kill them straight away as he was to busy watching for another rat.the rat would bight him and he would just give a little growl. He was a great rat catcher. He used to dig them out and get so much mud rammed in his mouth I had to prize it out with my fingers
