What has happened to all the big take downs ?

Never be put off by the armchair critics, it's the quality of photos that help make this forum. I think the standard of some of the work people post on here is amazing. Sometimes the criticism is constructive, just look at the take down of the Redwood by James Hoddy. He has learned from pointers received here, as well as the guidance from Reg Coates.

Nice how you built the wall with a gate around that fallen tree by the way :thumbup: good work.

Here you go for a solid lump to keep your spirits up Steve!

 

 

6 ft diameter oak - this lump weighed 4.5 tonnes and had the hiab hooting! Wood is actually quite sound and had a tiny sapwood ring.

And I like big butts :biggrin: I wont criticise I cant remember ever cutting a tree down.
