Bob,

Do you hire from a local or National firm? We've been having lots of problems just lately with downtime on hired in plant from a very large national hire firm

we are quite fortunate loads of choice we use a plant hire firm called rodgers or a big traffic management company called moxons which are both big firms that both use the little portable battery ones so no probs starting or damaged wires

would suggest you take note where your local authority highway dept use and try them our highways dept have about 20 sets on permanent hire rather than buying because of the backup service and if any probs just swap them

Seems we are in a different situation here, Most of our councils are owned and hire is split around loads of companies as they are all fairly unreliable. Think we will just buy our own again as when the oppertunity comes along!
