I totally agree, it's an amazing bargain that's too good to miss so I tried to buy one myself this very afternoon. They had no idea what was advertised on their website and the best they could do was a Makita DCS 520 for £378.

If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

Threaten them with trading standards..... they are advertising it at that price so they will have to stand by it

Even at £378 for the 520 (bloody good, solid saw IMO) youl struggle to get anything else new at that size for less.

Wow,

Thanks for all the replies. Its very welcoming when its your first post and I'm sure you get this type of question a lot.

Thanks for the invite Gus but I can't really justify buying a Stihl MS261 - unless I find one second hand.

I had discounted the MS350 I had thought that I had read something about a critical part being mounted in a plastic casing...???

I hadn't considered Matika - what is it like trying to get Matika saws fixed/serviced? Has anyone tried buying the saw online rather than phoning the shop?

What are people’s opinions of Stihl ms270/MS271 Stihl MS240/241 and Husqvarna 450e

Again thanks for all the responses
