I saw this scrawling through some french felling clips. You need to wait till he's finished his back cuts. Liked the way he put in his gob cuts. slightly different to how i was taught. takes experience to know that you've got it spot on from one side. Think it is time to try that method. Practice makes perfect. anyways enjoy the vid.

They're good - not that heavy and easier to carry then a sledge / axe and hi-lifts. We bought one from Germany a few years ago in the FC training branch. Think Clarke's sell their own yellow version now... there was a Husqvarna version from the 60's or 70's - would love to find one of them!

I used to use a porta power with a wedge head

Just checked on the bay and you can buy a new 10 ton one for £100. just make sure it has the wedge of life attachment

Would be keen on a second hand one, the only way I could justify it.

I know a guy who has one of them in scotland, said its saved them a lot of time and is paying for itself quickly. Apparently very powerful but cost near 1k.

Damn - that is a hell of a price tag!!! Why is it soooo expensive? I'd rather stick that cash towards a GRCS (BEING A CLIMBER) but if your JUST felling every day, i guess it would soon pay for itself!! Would love to have a go with one!
