I have got my hands on a little 6hp log spitter which had a split hose coming of one of the rams. I have repaired the split and put it all back together and get no hydraulic pressure , my question is do I need to bleed the system or am I missing something completely

Pump does not seem to purge I have had it running for several minutes that is why I was wondering about bleedng or something , feeling a Jon Cleese moment coming soon with this thing.:lol:
