Cat C is slight damage repairable and Cat D is economic write off ie old cars not worth the time to reppair both require a VIC check to get the logbooks back from DVLA and you have to go to your nearest VOSA center which are becoming less and less ! strange this thread because were next to an acident repair guy who is doing more work for Insurance companys on cars that would have been written of 2 - 3 years ago now there paying out for them to be repaired rather than scrapped ?

 

Cat D's dont require a VIC check
