just out another wonder today in a wood i look after for the council.

Be extremely careful with your new found pastime though, fungi wiil lead to certain divorce.

 

Unsure on first.

Second looks like Oyster.

 

 

You seem to be drawn to fungi of a Saprophytic nature.

 

 

More beneficial ( in terms of tree inspecton, decay etc ) to try and find the pathnogenic ones like Honey fungus, Ustulina, Meripulus etc

most of the dead wood i am finding are beech,elmand pine.

so it is looking pretty similar.

i nearly stopped the van today at the side of the road when i saw some on a blown beech, then i thought to myself get a life. lol

The 'Bootlaces' of Honey fungus Armilaria sp - not sure of the jelly fungi in the middle though.

 

The second looks like Trametes versicolor: The Turkey Tail

 

Fianal two are the Jew's ear - Auricularia auricula-judae

The first looks like it could be some kind of Stereum... difficult to tell though.
