Was just wondering where you guys tip chippings and what sort of price it is to tip a load? Also where is there to tip in/near Lincoln or Louth and how much?

£25 to £40 is a going rate, but there are lots of places that want chippings, try your local allotments first, and maybe the council will take it off your hands for free.

Ahh good, will have to try that, have just been to see a local farmer I did some work for in the past and he will take them in exchange for favors haha which is better than paying out I spose :)

Working for the local authority we are not allowed to sell our's to the public, so our's go's to the local allotments, footpaths in wooded area's and anybody who wants some. ( donations are welcome though)

The advice above is best but if you are stuck for somewhere to dump it there is MidUK at Caythorpe. Last time I was there it was £30 a tonne, and you'll need your waste carriage licence.

I'm 20 miles from Lincoln.

a clever pitch to give or sell to farmers, is that in time it will compost, so you could be sitting on pure gold....give him a wink, and that will you sorted forever!

He doesn't really care for compost as he sells it by the arctic load for biofuel as far as I know, either way he makes a bit off it and I get free tip so I can't really complain haha

Interesting reading about the difficulty in off loading chippings. What is the best way of contacting reputable people for chippings - I am looking for a substantial amount but do not fancy waking up to a mixed 'fly tip' load or a burnt out transit. I am in the Ashford/Tenterden area of Kent if that helps anybody?
