How many Ash have to die?

How many times do we have to be asked if that Ash can come down because it has "that disease"? I havent seen the disease yet, but I have seen a lot of Ash losing their leaves....it's autumn :001_rolleyes: how many unscrupulous tree cutters are going to fell perfectly healthy Ash on the back of this. I think this is going to be more tragic than the Chalara. Sad times.

I could have had four large Ash already this week, simply because the leaves are falling. One is near a proposed development, and the tree will obviously shut out the light on the south side, and may even affect the siting of the proposed dwelling. I forecast that certainly a percentage of these will get felled, one way or another.

I would like to think that most TO's have a bit more upstairs than to fall for that! I have already had about 6 calls since it has been common knowledge.

People seem genuinely concerned though it has to be said.

I know what you mean though, the trees not protected, oh look, it's diseased and dangerous. Needs felling.

I know its wishfull thinking but I really hope it doesnt spread we own 11 acres of mixed woodland/scrub and 65% of that is ash that we use for firewood I took a walk through earlier this afternoon checking on our own trees couldnt see anything to worry about but im too weary to fell any of them now as knowing my luck anything I remove would be the few that were disease resistant or somthing but I can see what your saying you will get people who will take advantage of the situation just so they can benefit sad situation really
