a working & hunting breed of dog needs a lot of exercise every day!!!!!

ours gets at least an hour every day & he will walk run hunt all day long with no problems!!

beagles have been bred for centurys to hunt hares which they do quite well!! given the chance & will follow one for as long as it takes to catch it!!

just make sure yours dosent as with the stupid hunting act you will be breaking the law! but chasing rabbits is allowed & not illeagal!!

a bit of good beagle reading is jeremy hobson`s book on beagling published by david & charles isbn 0-7153-8923-8 its an old book but still a good read to a beagle owner

another good book about the breed is beagles by e. fitch daglish a very old book but has a lot of good pointers ebay would be best place to get either (it`s where i got mine)
