Too much Genuflecting going on here for my liking.

nice work mate... and cheers for the beech buttress tip. not all of us have had the chance to work with time served old timers. I will store that in the grey matter... cheers.

With a nice piece of spalted beech making 40quid per cu/ft, in the plank, does make me wonder why more dont save the butts and process them, rather than churn out firewood. Took out a nice walnut the other day, should make around 50 per cu/ft milled up.

You have all failed to mention anything about the poor groundstaff who are gonna have to clear that mess up at some time. hahaha. I love walking away from jobs like that at the estate I work for, thinking how much hell the estate staff are gonna have trying to chip them snapped branches, sticking out the ground. Almost makes ya feel guilty for boshing it down soo quick..........almost.
