advice on big saws

I recommend the husqvarna 576xp autotune , mine runs with a 24" bar with a full chisel chain, and it loves big stuff, lots of torque to pull the bar too !

If I needed a larger saw if personally go for a husky 395 over the ms660, I used both machines with the same size bar within 2mins of each other on the same stem I was ringing up, and I found the husky faster cutting and slightly more economical on fuel .

Been reading a few of these threads recently, they seem largely inconclusive. Think I'm gonna order a 660 with 36" bar this week, got a large Sycamore coming up I've always preferred orange and white anyway and not even overly impressed with 395XP I've used.

very helpful thank you that is the info i was looking for, thinking i might try a 395xp cause i only want to get 1 more saw and by the sounds of things that will do everything i will ever need from felling on a 24" to cross cutting on a 36"
