hi guys

Myself and a couple of guys are heading out to California for 3 weeks come november to go and have a look at the redwoods and i was wondering whether anyone had any advice on places to go and to stay. We're flying into San Francisco and staying there for a couple of days but after that we don't have a plan so any help would be fab. We've thought about going to Muir woods and then on to Humboldt, whether anyone has been to these places and if its worth going to either of them or not.

Also one of the guys was thinking about climbing the redwoods, i know you need special permission but we don't know who to talk to about it or whether it's worth doing.

Any ideas you have it would be ace to know them. Thanks in advance, x

make your way to the avenue of the giants on the pacific coast highway, it's incredible and there's loads of stuff to do and see around it. also if your in san fran make the trip over to alcatraz, it's well worth it! have a great trip!!

Once in San fran then over to marin and muirwood, redwood places to visit will come naturally. Travelling these places there is so well advertised and signed that you will have no problems. As for climbing these trees i have no idea who to contact.

Happy hols!!
