Thats one answer I was looking for, 10mm OP works on it, 8mm is not so clever.

 

I always prefer a pulley/friction hitch system on my kit.

What's the kong duck for on your lanyard mate when you have the cinch?

I bought it and had nothing to use it for so i decided to use it to hold up the slack so if a twig catches the line it doesn't pull all my lanyard through. That's all

A lanyard is a landyard in the end of the day it depends on your budget but i have used this Adjustable Lanyard Kit lanyard for a couple of years and have had no problem with it. I have also used it in a SRT configuration for limb walking.

 

I guess it depends on your budget and if your a gadget man or not.

knowledge is the key to everything so is experience. From my experience the lanyard kit in my previous post works a treat with a Distel hitch and pulley the only modification i did was i made the hitch cord shorter so i could eliminate most of the slack. but i think i was just being picky. read the spec on the link in the previous post for the rope combinations.

true, the spec on the post is standard, looking for smaller diameter setups, using pulleys/hitchclimber/pintos'/ and friction hitches.

I just use any bit of rope similar size to a steel flip line, vt with micro pulley.Nice and simple, cheap and only use it for cutting time in tree.

5m of Yale Magma Ice with a Pinto and a Distel tied using 65cm eye:eye Armour Prussik 8mm. The prussik fits nicely between the pinto.
