Out of interest, how does this scam work? He's offering inspection which suggests he has the machine, and requiring the deal to be closed through eBay which gives the buyer far more ways to get their cash back than sending a cheque or doing a bank transfer etc.

 

Just interested so I can avoid getting caught.

If you cant collect and pay cash its a scam. If you bid and are successful and go to collect and its a pile of crap walk away with a smile and leave a neg nothing they can do. If they want paying up front then they deliver it free it does not excist nobody pays for transport if they dont have to especially these days.
