Richard Court = top man!

 

Jez Smithers is the rep for TS, it is worth having a chat with him too. His number is 07825 012261. Jez was a tree surgeon in sussex years ago and has been around chippers on and off pretty well all his working life!

I found my sensor was faulty a while back, one of the easiest tests it to turn the chipper to on (but not running!), then move the drive wheel so the sensor is clear of any metal parts, pass something metal (spanner etc) past the sensor and a led light on the sensor should turn on (or off) when it detects the metal, if it doesn't light up then the sensor is likely your problem

Hello, guys. I am new here and not quite poofy at this stuff, and I am thinking about buying a Chipper. After reading all the comments here, I found out that they have a common problem with rollers. Is it worth buying?

Rollers are not an especially common problem, but all moving parts are prone to failure, in fact all mechanical things are to an extent.

Do you have a particular chipper in mind?

Hello, thanks for explaining. Speaking about the chipper I would say I was thinking about a small one to chopp the branches

Yeah, lots of them do that, kind of their raison d’être.
