Leicestershire County Council is looking for a forestry and arboricultural maintenance firm to look after trees on its council properties.

 

The five-year deal will be worth £750,000 and works will include tree pruning, tree felling, tree planting, maintenance of young trees, stump grinding, chipping and disposal of timber at school sites, parks and other municipal spaces.

 

The contractor will not normally be expected to work on Highway sites.

 

The contract will be for five years initially, with an option to extend by up to two years.

 

The deadline for receipt of expressions of interest is 9 February.

i know the government is trying to supress freedom of information and speech,but no way can this be classed as terrorism,,,???????

or do you think people on here are sensitive and secretive...????

 

 

quite possibly the latter by account of some of the posts..!!!!!!

The guys at Leicestershire County Council are a good arb team!

They know their onions!!

We have worked with them on larger projects and found them to be top notch!

When i left uni i went for an interview for an inspector job at this LA! This lasted 3 hours!!

Now i have had interviews with the FC and Tilhill etc and none of them were as in depth as this one.

As with all LA contracts you have to tick all the box's to get though the PQQ process! Well woth the efort if your concern can provide a porfesional arb service. These are the sort of contracts which make a difference during hard times.

I know we will be going for this one!!
