I am in the process of removing several thousand fruit trees in an orchard. the brash will be burned, but the question is what is the best outlet for the trunkwood? the trunks are between 6-8 inch and about 6feet in length. My ideas are

1) market them for firewood

2) chip them for smoking ( need to know specifications)

3) sell to someone who has a use for apple wood in furniture making.

The wood has to be sold, to make the job viable for me.

I reckon the most money would be to haul it out in lengths and store it for a year then chip it and bag it in small nets, then sell it as others have said for bar b q or hot smokers, a 50 cm net bag will eaily make a tenner if you market it right. only problem is you wont see any cash for a while.
