I personally would be very careful passing on all hedge work as quite often this leads to a decent tree job . A lot of trust would be needed for this to work out.

It could end up losing you a lot of work . I,m not being funny or having a go , its just how I see it :001_smile:

 

my answer to this is that I would not class sub-contracting jobs as my clients, any tree work I would be honest and pass on to origional contractor. :thumbup1:

Im not a huge fan of hedge cutting but you can earn £350 - £500 a day they are cut twice a year and nearly always lead to more tree work so can't complain.

Wow, thats a hell of a rate for hedge cutting!

Whats an average hourly rate for hedging as I'm not earning that much

I hated hedge cutting so gave away all of my jobs to another firm in return for all of their stump grinding jobs, and it worked out very well for both of us.

 

Then a couple of years ago when things started to go quiet I picked up a few of the better hedges I was offered and in conjuction with a few new tools,fresh legs and a more efficent approach im back doing it with a smile on my face.
