Would be great to see some pics of the job (before/during/after)

 

Not worked on a fire damaged tree before

 

I guess it's hard to give tips without seeing at least a couple pics of the tree to see how bad it is what room you have to fell etc

Probably a good idea ,the bloke who mentioned that burnt trees blunten chains had read something about it when reading into forest fire felling,maybe google might help you further on the subject :)

finally got the tree down only burnt on the inside will try to put pics on tomorrow, bloody ground saw woudnt work so had to use 200t with 16 inch bar on approx 7 foot base
