I have an Echo, I think it's a 350t.

It's absolutely dire!

I deeply regret buying it. It's never broken down but everyone hates using it for these reasons:

1: It comes with a 12" bar so it's front heavy.

2: The chain brake lever is so badly designed its borderline dangerous.

3: The stop/start switch is 'the wrong way round'.

4: The fuel and oil caps are an awful design.

5: The vibration is worse than any other saw.

6: The exhaust is directed slightly at you in some work positions.

7: The bolts that hold the bar and side plate are from Toys R Us.

8: The strop attachment loop is made out of bread (although it looks metal).

9: The Dog Teeth on the front are as effective as my toothbrush bristles.

10: The side handle is ergonomically brilliant.

11: Your right wrist gets slightly twisted when pulling the starter cord.

12: The exhaust is really loud and has sounded broken since day one.

1: It comes with a 12ft bar so it's front heavy.

2: The chain brake lever ABS dont work

3: The stop/start switch is 'inside out'.

4: The fuel and oil caps dont lock with the key

5: The vibration is worse than a vibrator

6: The exhaust is a big bore from demon tweeks

7: The bolts that hold the bar and side plate are from a HGV front wheel.

8: The strop attachment loop is made out of bread (although it looks metal).

9: The hens Teeth on the front are as effective as my toothbrush bristles.

10: The side handle is ergonomically brilliant.

11: Your right wrist gets slightly twisted when pulling women.

12: The exhaust is really loud and sound like a WRC rally car

I don't know but this ImageUploadedByTapatalk1346604816.262340.jpg.0829dbc8090f50ec0eedd03190b80110.jpg

is better than an Echo top handled chain saw.

For the record, I'm not slagging off Echo as a brand, I have an Echo hedge cutter and really rate it.

No seriously you had a bad experience with one,I have 2 of the small toppers,& they have both been great, but not for anything much over 4 or 5 inch on a regular basis.

no i sold it and starting to think i done the wrong thing :sneaky2:

Great saws especially when ported . Although your right is saying the Stihl is a better saw when working .

Oh and for the Echo boys the little 25/26cc Top handle saw is loads better than the bigger brother which for 35cc or so puts out a terrible cutting performance .

The small top handle is ok until you need to do some serious cutting the its out with the 020 or 338xpt both ported
