Now the logs will start selling. First cold night and then a cold morning always gets the customers thinking " i should order some logs its getting cold". A shame its still august (just) and the harvest not even close to finishing. Looks like some 18 hr days ahead if it stops raining :001_smile:

80 acres of wheat try about 800. I'm making more money from logs than farming. Should be good weather for the next few days. Cold at night cold in the morning soon gets the log orders comming in. Did see on ebay the other day someone sold about a level transit full of logs unsplit in different lenghts (felled ceder tree) of there front garden for £149. May be the way to go saves splitting handling bagging etc

80 acres is hard enough on my own with no combine and reliant on contractors doing it all for me. Firewood is a nice simple reliable income compared to farming :)

Kindling orders flooding in now after a quiet summer. Think everyone is feeling the pinch and will leave it until last minute and then it will go nuts, a lot more log burners been installed aronoud here again this year.
