I was demonstrating my pole-lathe at the Tree Fest at Westonbirt at the weekend.

Needing to down size i took some turning tools and drawknives to sell.

A woman came up and picked up one my Gouges ( priced at £12. bought new at £24)

" will you take £10 for the chisel" she said.

" no" i said.

"but I've only got £10 on me" she said.

" well come back when youve got £12" i said.

later found out that after she left me the same woman bought £85 worth of blades from a mate a few stalls up.

I haggle on everything i buy. The last new tv i bought i haggled on, and it was already in the sale. No way said the sales woman "It's already been reduced". Ok "good afternoon young lady"... After speaking to her manager it was....."Sir would you take the tv for £100 less"......Certainly......Thank you very much.
