Problem is Dean....you just know that as soon as you put the backcut in, an ambulance with someone in the back of it is gonna turn up with flashers on wanting through. I had it......luckly I had gone through the right proceedure in order that the emergency services were informed of the closure.

 

It was a paramedic actually and we had to turn him away. I had already put the back cut in and the tree was on a winch.

If the road is not serving anything I'd ring the local ambulance station or call in and make them aware of your intention. ??

To do that here you'd have to call into 6 stations, ambulances come from as far as 15miles here, and we arn't in the sticks.

Haa, see where I am only has one ambulance station and fire station to serve the whole area

Just because it's a Sunday doesn't mean you dont use the same precautions as on any other day, you still put up barriers, signs, tape and post lookouts.

 

Being a sunday means there's less chance of pedestrians and cars as there would be in the rush hour on a monday

But how do they get around the crane blocking the road swing large pieces of timber about?
