Back on the Bicycle for this one...a few miles cycle and a short train journey...shall probably cycle the full distance next time...it,s only occasional work and it,s a quite nice journey through Richmond Park. Made sure i had a Poopy on my lid...felt i wanted to for this one for reasons of pride..hope it stays on i thought:001_smile: I first met Ryan when i worked on the tree team at Continental Landcsapes.. Mainly re-pollarding London Planes as usual on Street trees.. Hounslow Council..Ryan was the up and coming lead climber and was always very fearless and very fast which is great in the Factory tree world but you could tell he was destined for greater things.....hadn,t seen him for three years until i got a message from him after he,s seen my thread and instantly thought "That sounds like Paul"....it,s a small world eh? arrived at the destination and cycled the short distance to Where Ryan lives and was greeted by the site of his new set-up....Ryan is like a Son to me and when i worked with him i grounded for him many times and so felt quite proud of what he,d achieved in a short time...Most of his work is large rigged Dismantles but today the impact block would have a rest as it would be a mere reduction of a Tree of heaven...the weather was glorious and again because my comfort Zone in Tree work is Climb or Ground...Chip and tip then home! bash it out:thumbup: Simple communication and traffic management and no dramas...it went like clockwork and we were done in less than half a day and i was paid for the full....but today wasn,t about the reduction...i was only there to chip....so for me it was about this Green "Thing" that i came into contact with...what was it? what did it do? could it be a real chipper? Surely not for the last time i used a Grenmech was on a demo about 5 years ago and i didn,t like it at all and prefered the "Landforce" i was using at the time..Had never come across one since ,only using orange or yellow varieties of chipper:001_rolleyes:Ryan bought this "Greenmech chipmaster 220" for £8,500 with 700 hours on it when he bought his Iveco and said it had already paid itself back...this is Such a capable machine...it didn,t faulter once and i mean not ONCE! i am amazed since my last encounter:biggrin: what a joy to use. that is my lasting memory of the day for me...Green all the way for me! and my Poppy was still on my helmet at the end of the job:thumbup1:
