Well Ian...it's 2.49 a.m and i've just woken up now! But that's because i fell into bed as soon as i walked through the door!😪 done my second day of line clearance yesterday and even though we didn't start till shutdown at about 10.30 a.m i was negotiating barley fields...brambles....nettles and a river with the poles all day after that....found it very hard and it finnished me of...picture is of my workmate off to site. I like the tree climbing clearance stuff but i've never been a fan of an old Silky head on 4 or 5 poles. But apparantly you can't use a power pruner on a shutdown...so yeaterday was my worst day in years😃😃 i like efficiency and i reckon with a clearing saw and a power pruner the job would be far less energy zapping.may have to look into it. Anyone know what the rules are on power pruners and lines (shut downs)?

Power pruners are a no no around power lines, even on a shut down i'm afraid Paul. Even on a shut down (especially lv) there can be live equipment around.
