basic kit you could spend £650 plus, id would wait though, as ud be able to use the colleges kit. it wont be great but enough to pass the exams and learn the basics. i say this as i did what you want to do and have landed a job where all equipment is supplied for me. now ive got over 1k of rope harness boots trousers helmet etc gathering dust
